Pete Long is rightfully known as a ‘National Treasure’ (The Times) in the UK Jazz Scene. As musical director of the Ronnie Scott’s jazz orchestra his stunning sax playing and witty repartee have gained him legions of fans across the country.
Georgina and Pete with their stellar band bring a celebration of the music from the age of the classic crooner, Ella, Peggy, Sinatra, Chet Baker and Dusty Springfield….from bluesy ballads to infectious swing and most things in between. ……..The perfect soundtrack to your fizz and cheeseboard!
In the cloister bar….
Renowned DJ Mike Vitti comes to Iford playing in our cloister bar throughout the evening. Following a very successful five year stint as the programme director at Jazz FM, live events at London’s prestigious Ronnie Scott’s and a series of hugely popular CDs, Mike joined Gordon Mac at London’s Mi-Soul Radio, where the now Funky Nation is even bigger, better and funkier. This Saturday club night at Ronnie Scott’s (which has just celebrated its 9th anniversary) is even stronger and more popular than ever.
Please note that no food or drink can be brought inside the cloister, but drinks will be available for purchase from the cloister bar.
