Direct from London’s world-famous jazz club, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars and special guest vocalist Claire Martin OBE, take to the stage to celebrate ‘The Ronnie Scott’s Story’.
Combining world-class live jazz and narration, The Ronnie Scott’s Story is a unique celebration of the club: charting the club’s rise from a basement bar where local musicians would jam, through its trials and tribulations and landmark performances from now-legendary jazz icons, to become the internationally acclaimed jazz venue it is today.
Mixing classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, alongside tales of old Soho, miscreant musicians and police raids, this is a unique evening celebrating one of the world's most famous jazz venues, its music, and history.
In the cloister bar….
Renowned DJ Mike Vitti comes to Iford playing in our cloister bar throughout the evening. Following a very successful five year stint as the programme director at Jazz FM, live events at London’s prestigious Ronnie Scott’s and a series of hugely popular CDs, Mike joined Gordon Mac at London’s Mi-Soul Radio, where the now Funky Nation is even bigger, better and funkier. This Saturday club night at Ronnie Scott’s (which has just celebrated its 9th anniversary) is even stronger and more popular than ever.
Please note that no food or drink can be brought inside the cloister, but drinks will be available for purchase from the cloister bar.
