Wisteria sinensis hangs heavy throughout the garden
The wisteria sinensis on the front of the house is known to be at least 160 years old and rumoured to be one of the oldest in the UK (ie: up to 215 years old!!!!). It’s scent is unsurpassed.
The entrance to the loggia welcomes you with wisteria, alliums and iris.
Beautiful views over the Iford Valley - Peto’s design incorporated the ‘borrowed view’ concept from Japan making the garden appear much larger than it is.
Alliums and their pom-poms are always a cheerful sight in May.
