Let proprietor William Cartwright-Hignett and our team welcome you to the restaurant where talented Head Chef Matthew Briddon and his team will brighten your table with a feast of homemade dishes to enjoy, using only the best, top-quality, sustainable and local produce.

Much of the food served is grown, reared or foraged from across the Iford Manor Estate. Our integrative approach linking into our farm and walled garden creates an understanding of growing, rearing, preparation and realisation of food, so our chefs gain a deeper understanding of terroir, flavour and what it takes to create excellent dishes direct from farm to fork. Make sure to try our Iford Beef and Iford Lamb, grazed on our farm in the Iford Valley with the lowest possible food miles.

Kitchen waste is minimised with our nose to tail; leaf to root approach. The natural season is extended through fermentation and pickling to ensure flavoursome, local dishes throughout the year. Each dish is prepared just for you. We make our own charcuterie in-house (sulphite and nitrite free), cure meat, have our own bakery, make our pasta, sauces and more.

The wood-fired Bertha oven, using wood from our woodlands, adds even more flavour to food carefully cooked over the fire.

We think you can really taste the difference and we hope you will agree.

As with anything at Iford, this is not an experience to be rushed. Relax in beautiful surroundings, whilst treating yourself to delectable, home-made dishes.

Each restaurant dish is made from scratch, specifically to order, and you can taste the difference.

ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: We will do our best to accommodate those needs, but please note that this may not always be possible. Those with allergies or requirements are advised to contact us by email (info@ifordmanor.co.uk) or phone to the Estate Office (01225 863146) during standard office hours (Mon - Fri) in advance of making a reservation to ensure that we can cater to your needs. Kindly note that booking notes are not usually seen until the day of your visit.

Groups: If you require a table for more than 6 people please contact us on info@ifordmanor.co.uk to request a booking in as a group. To manage the flow of orders to tables, groups will need to book in at the start or end of service. Please note that a deposit will be taken for group bookings of more than 6.

Walk-ins: If the restaurant is full, we will be able to accommodate some walk-ins on the day, or you can eat in our cafe (which does not take reservations).

Dogs: Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome in the restaurant. Please make a note on your reservation if you are bringing a dog so we can assign you an appropriate table.

Children: Children are welcome in the restaurant, but please note that we do not have high chairs, nor a children's menu.

Gardens: Please note our gardens are now closed until April 2025. Garden entry is not included, or required, with dining in the restaurant. Should you wish to visit the gardens you will need to purchase tickets separately to do so when it is open.

With thanks:

To the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development who part funded the creation of our new restaurant and cafe at Iford.
